Britney Brouwer grew up wanting to be a lawyer and an author, so it makes sense that she first drafted She’s a Knockout while studying for the Bar Exam. Now an editor of court opinions, Britney lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and rescue dog, Dougal. When she’s not writing, she’s usually found drinking tea and watching hockey.

- Growing up, Britney lived in three different states (in this order): Michigan, Illinois, and Minnesota.
- In undergrad, Britney played tennis and majored in English literature with a minor in professional writing.
- During college, Britney completed a 6-month internship with the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League.
- Britney’s interests and hobbies include junk journaling, ballet (not partaking but watching), Hamlet, all things Disney, Philadelphia (specifically: the Flyers, Philly soft pretzels, and Wawa), hot tea (but also iced), reading, musicals, being out on a lake, turtles, and running exactly one mile every day (usually with her dog, Dougal).
- Britney has visited the following countries: Japan (four times), Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Russia, Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Argentina, Iceland, Canada, and Mexico. Adding the United Kingdom very soon!
